First Frost: Hard ground, cool head
Play your way through the cold November nights and collect the twelve cards of the new First Frost edition.
In November the pitches turn hard and the results get tight. That is where First Frost comes in: the first limited time event of Season 5 runs from November 2 to 16 and brings cards rated 90 to 93.
Twelve cards for cold nights
First Frost cards show a thesis for the home or away side as usual, in the event's design. You can use every edition card for 30 games. They can turn up in every card pack in the Store and in the Daily Free Pack, with the Home or Away Pack of the week holding the cards of its side. The First Frost Pack gives you the best chance.
Five stages, three chances
In the first week First Frost takes you through the Champions League, the Europa League and matches from the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, Premier League, La Liga, Serie A and Ligue 1, in the second mostly through the Nations League internationals. You find every event match in the Event tab of the app.
On every stage, your board's score in one match counts. Hit the stage target, move up and get three fresh chances. Miss it and one chance is used. Once all three are used, you start again on stage 1. You earn a stage's reward the first time you reach it. After stage 5 you start again on stage 1, one prestige higher, and the stage rewards come round again. Keep a cool head all the way to stage 5.
On some days two event matches are on. You can lock in a board for both, even before the first result is in. Kickoff order decides, whatever order you lock them in: the match that starts first counts first. Your second board then plays for the target of the stage you stand on by then.
An example: you are on stage 1 and need 66 points. Get them in the first match and you move up to stage 2, so your second board needs 73 points. Miss them and you stay on stage 1 with one chance fewer, so your second board needs 66 points again. If the second match ends first, its points wait until the first has been scored.

Get the edition
The First Frost Pack is in the Store for 1,000 Store Points while the event runs. It holds twelve cards, one guaranteed rated 80 or higher. Complete the three event objectives and the pack is yours: 48 correct calls, 16 boards and 600 points in the event's matches. Each objective also brings 200 XP, and every day a new daily objective brings you 50 XP.
The First Frost Pack also waits on levels 20 and 40 of the Premium Season Pass, on stage 4 of your season objectives for League and Weekly points and, until November 16, as the reward for completing all five weekly objectives.
Exchange ten Epic cards rated 85 or higher in the Store for a First Frost card rated 90. The exchange works once per player and only during the event. The Album has its own set: collect five different First Frost cards and you get the First Frost card rated 93.
