How to Play
Everything you need to know before kickoff.
What is Matchplan?
Your read on the game, put to the test. Every matchday, build a board of five predictions on a featured match. After the match, your score is tallied. No luck, no algorithms. Just you and what you know. Two minutes, that's all it takes.
The Matchday Ritual
Every matchday centers on a single match. Pick five cards from your collection. Each one is a prediction about what happens on the pitch. Lock it in before kickoff. On selected matchdays you watch it play out live on the match screen. After the final whistle your board is scored and goes into a duel against someone from your league.
How Scoring Works
Every card carries a rating between 50 and 99. Call it right and you earn points equal to the card's rating. Call it wrong and you score zero. Your board score is the average across all five cards. High-rated cards bring more points, but they cost you more when you call it wrong. The maximum is 99: five correct calls, all on Legendary cards.
Cards and Rarities
Five tiers from Basic to Legendary, each with its own rating range. Cards cover the match outcome, goals over or under a line, a clean sheet, both teams scoring and goals in both halves, among others. The more variety you hold, the more flexible you are. The right card for the right fixture is often the difference between a strong board and a missed chance.
Packs and Exchanges
Your Daily Free Pack returns every day at midnight. Beyond that, Base, Premium, Home, Away, Pro and various Special Packs offer progressively better cards. You earn packs by playing, clearing objectives, and keeping streaks alive. Got duplicates? Trade ten cards of the same rarity for an Exchange Pack with two new ones.
The League
Your league holds eight players. From Monday to Sunday you play every one of them exactly once, one duel a day. Board against board, the higher score wins. A win is worth three points, a draw one. Lock in no board and you lose by walkover. On Sunday the table decides. Five tiers lead upward, from Chrome through Steel, Carbon and Titan to the championship in Obsidian. The champion goes up, the bottom goes down. On Monday your reward for the week arrives, along with seven new opponents.
Season and Season Pass
Every season runs 28 days. Every board you play earns Season XP and moves you up the Season Pass, 40 levels with rewards along the way. The Premium Season Pass adds a second reward track, and every level you reach counts on both. Your league tier carries into the next season. You start where you finished.
Beyond the Matchday
Alongside the Daily Matchplan, the Weekly Matchplan runs across several matchdays per weekend. One of your boards counts double and you pick which one. Your total score decides which tier of Weekly Rewards you reach. On top of that, Limited-Time Events bring their own board and their own rewards.
